Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 September 2026
ScriptSnap ("we", "us") is a sole trader business based in Australia. This policy explains how we handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
1. What we collect
- Account details: your Google account email and basic profile when you sign in.
- Usage data: product links and titles you submit, tones/niches selected, scripts generated, and credit balances.
- Billing data: plan and payment status. Card details are collected and stored by our payment provider — we never see or store your full card number.
- Feedback: messages and contact emails you send through the feedback form.
2. How we use it
- To provide the service: generate scripts, save your history, manage credits and plans.
- To process payments and renewals via our payment provider.
- To respond to feedback and support requests.
- To monitor abuse and keep the service secure.
3. Third-party processors
- Google — sign-in (OAuth).
- Stripe — payment processing.
- OpenAI — AI script generation (your submitted product text is sent to generate output).
- Lovable Cloud — hosting, database and authentication infrastructure.
Some providers process data outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure they handle your information consistently with this policy.
4. Cookies and storage
We use browser local storage for your sign-in session and guest credit balance. We don't use advertising trackers.
5. Data retention
Saved scripts and account data are kept while your account is active. You can delete individual scripts from your history at any time. Billing records are retained as required by Australian tax law.
6. Your rights
You may request access to, or correction of, your personal information, or ask us to delete your account and associated data, by emailing us. We will respond within a reasonable time.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures: encrypted connections, row-level database security, and server-side credential storage. No method is 100% secure; if a breach occurs that is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify you and the OAIC as required by law.
8. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
9. Contact & complaints
Privacy questions or complaints: cmakks1@gmail.com. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
